Volunteer week is not only a week to volunteer your time and efforts to a specific cause, but it’s also a time to bring awareness to the good work that is already being done in your community and around the world. Every day, individuals dedicate their time and resources to serving others and helping their community grow.
The HELPcard is a company that dedicates it’s time and funds to improving the lives of people in the community and employees inside the company. “We focus on employees,” said James Ruth, a member of the Benevolence committee. “We also reach out to our community. We like to make ourselves available.”
The Benevolence committee has organized and participated in several food drive events, toy drives, and provided school supplies for local schools. They also provide meals for families and elderly members of the community through Life Source International.
The latest project the committee has been invited to be a part of is a fund raiser for CASA of Northwest Arkansas. Casa, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, is a local organization that places children into foster homes.
Benevolence and volunteerism have been a part of The HELPcard’s culture since it’s inception and is named after it’s founder and one of the founding members of the company, Joe McAdams. This program is a blessing to the community and we are happy to be a part of it. Donating your time can be the best thing for you and the people you impact. Lives can be changed by moments shared with others through acts of kindness.
